The Art of Fenella Flinn at The Venue
Beginning on Friday, September 21st, at 6:00pm. The Venue Fine Art & Gifts will host an Exhibit of the paintings of Fenella J.A. Flinn.
Fenella was born in Nairobi, Kenya. After studying in England and Switzerland, she lived in Paris, Rome, and Washington, D.C. before returning to England to attend St. James's College. Flinn immigrated to the United States in 1972, where she began to paint in watercolor. In 1995 she began studying with renowned Indiana oil and pastel artist Ronald O. Elkins, an association which is ongoing. Fenella is also a part of the Art History Department of Indiana University.
After many years working predominantly within the figurative realm, two years ago Fenella began to explore non-objective painting. She is currently inspired by the exploration of color, creating a complex interweaving of pure colors through meticulous layering of oils. Her paintings are energetic, dynamic, engaging, and pleasing to the eye. This exhibit displays the full range of her impressive talent.
The Venues fine selection of fine art, jewelry, ceramics, and other gifts will be on display and available. Free parking is available in the lot on the corner of 4th and Grant.
This show will run at The Venue until October 4th.
